Seacor Profit Soars - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Seacor Holdings Inc. (CKH) Friday reported third-quarter net income of $30 million or $1.36 per share, compared with $16 million or $0.78 per share last year.

On average, two analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.84 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenue for the quarter grew to $337 million from $339 million last year. Analysts estimated revenue of $332.06 million.

Operating expenses were lower at $305 million, compared with $328 million in the prior year.

Gains on asset dispostitions and impairments totaled $19 million, compared with $9 million a year ago.

Seacor is a provider of equipment and services primarily supporting the offshore oil and gas and marine transportation industries.
