SeaWorld: No More Killer Whale Tricks At San Diego Park By 2017

(RTTNews) - SeaWorld is changing the killer whale show at its San Diego park in 2016.

The struggling theme park plans to replace its Orca trick-shows with a more natural Orca experience for audience in 2017.

The company expects the latest move will help it to build its beleaguered brand and boost its declining attendance.

Meanwhile, the company's new CEO Joel Manby did not disclose any further specifics related to the new orca shows.

SeaWorld's business has been under attack since the critical 2013 documentary 'Blackfish,' which was about Tilikum, a captive killer whale who dragged a trainer named Dawn Brancheau under the water to her death in his tank at the Orlando park.

The film severely affected the aquatic amusement park's attendance and revenues.
