Sierra Bancorp Promotes Kevin McPhaill To President And COO

(RTTNews) - Sierra Bancorp (BSRR), parent of Bank of the Sierra, said Monday that it has promoted Kevin McPhaill to President and Chief Operating Officer of the company and the Bank, effective January 1, 2014.

James Holly, the current President and Chief Executive Officer, will continue to serve as CEO of the company and the Bank.

Holly explained that the Board has temporarily separated the offices of President and CEO to allow for an orderly management succession with minimal disruption, and it is anticipated that McPhaill will ultimately be named as President and CEO. The timing for the final phase of the transition has not yet been determined.
