SkyWest Inc Bottom Line Advances 28% In Q2

(RTTNews) - SkyWest Inc (SKYW) revealed a profit for its second quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $40.24 million, or $0.77 per share. This was up from $31.48 million, or $0.61 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.67 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 1.6% to $801.34 million. This was up from $788.42 million last year.
