Spring Is in the Air and Great America Opens for Its 31st Season on March 31st
SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Spring is in the air and Great America will open for its 31st season on March 31, 2007. Great America is now open weekends. The park will be open Friday and Saturday April 6th and 7th, and closed Easter Sunday, April 8th. Great America will be open daily for Spring Break, April 9th through the 22nd. Great America will begin daily operation on May 30th, just in time for the grand opening of the GREAT BARRIER REEF(TM) wave pool.

This season the park's Boomerang Bay Beach Club, the Australian inspired water park inside Great America is being expanded to include its newest attraction, the 355,000-gallon GREAT BARRIER REEF (TM) wave pool. The ride will combine the exhilaration and feel of real ocean waves without the sand.
On sale now Great America offers the Wow! Card so guests can enjoy multiple visits all season long at Great America, including Boomerang Bay for just $51.95 (valid for guests ages 3-61 who are 48 inches and taller). Seniors and juniors pay only $34.95 (valid for guests ages 3-61 who are less than 48 inches tall or ages 62 and older). Great America has also brought back its popular VIP Pass. With a 2007 Great America VIP Pass, guests can visit Great America and Gilroy Gardens (formerly Bonfante Gardens) as many times as they like during 2007 public operating days for just $74.95. Buy two or more VIP Passes and the price is reduced to just $69.95 per pass. Parking at Great America is included with the VIP Pass.
New this year, Great America will also offer the 2007 California Maxx Pass* which gives pass holder's access to Great America, Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park, Knott's Berry Farm and three Soak City Water Parks (located in Orange County, Palm Springs and San Diego) for only $99.95 (valid for guests ages 3-61 who are 48 inches and taller). Seniors and juniors pay just $79.95 (valid for guests ages 3-61 who are less than 48 inches tall or ages 62 and older). In addition, the 2007 California Maxx Pass* entitles admission all season long to more than a dozen other Cedar Fair theme parks and water parks throughout the United States and Canada. All 2007 California Maxx Pass* holders will also be entitled to FREE season-long parking at Great America.
