Stryker Corp. Q3 Earnings Advance 11%

(RTTNews) - Stryker Corp. (SYK) announced a profit for its third quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $526 million, or $1.39 per share. This was higher than $476 million, or $1.25 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.37 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 16.9% to $2.83 billion. This was up from $2.42 billion last year.
