Target Abandons Kiddie Cart Experiment

(RTTNews) - Retail giant Target Inc. (TGT) has got rid of kid-sized shopping carts from its stores after receiving flak from shoppers who criticized them, some even calling them "demonic."

Target had introduced the kiddie carts in a handful of stores last year and later expanded it to 50 stores in Minnesota and 22 stores in New York.

Although, Target expected the mini carts to be a huge success among parents, their idea backfired when many parents complained about them.

According to reports, several kids dumped shelves of merchandise into them and slammed into shelves and other shoppers at top speed. One blogger has termed those carts "vehicles of mass destruction."
