Tech Data U.S. Helps Resellers Recover Lost Software License Keys 24 Hours a Day
Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ:TECD)today announced MyLicenseTrackerSM,
the latest addition to this leading IT products distributor’s
comprehensive array of e-business services. With MyLicenseTracker,
resellers no longer need to contact their Tech Data sales representative
or Software Licensing team to obtain license keys lost, deleted or
accidentally blocked as e-mail spam. Introduced last week at the
TechSelect Partner Conference, the first phase of MyLicenseTracker will
support software license e-mail resends for Acronis, IBM, Microsoft,
Novell, Nuance, Red Hat, Symantec and Trend Micro purchases made through
Tech Data.

and MyOrderTracker™, MyLicenseTracker is an
exclusive e-business tool developed by Tech Data to provide our
customers with practical solutions to challenges they face every day,”

example, end users may lose or accidentally delete their software
license keys before applications are installed. They then turn to their
resellers for help. With MyLicenseTracker, our reseller customers no
longer need to divert time or resources to track those license keys or
contact their Tech Data team for resends. They can now log on to
techdata.com and quickly generate an automated license resend with
MyLicenseTracker.”
MyLicenseTracker leverages Tech Data’s
extensive data mining capabilities to enable resellers to search their
own software order history by purchase order, Tech Data sales order,
invoice number or date range. Once the correct order is identified, the
tool generates an e-mail containing the original license key and order
confirmation details. Resellers then choose to send that e-mail directly
to their end-user customer or forward it themselves. MyLicenseTracker
resends also can be used to assist with software renewals by providing
original purchase details such as seat counts and part numbers.

application they purchased through us but have lost the license key

private-label order-tracking tool. More than 14,000 resellers leverage
MyOrderTracker each month to distribute more than 200,000 e-mails
notifying employees and customers of the status of orders placed through
Tech Data.
