Teradata Q4 Adj. EPS Tops View - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Teradata Corp. (TDC) Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $118 million or $0.77 per share, up from from $112 million or $0.68 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Excluding stock-based compensation expense and the other special items, earnings were $140 million or $0.91 per share, compared with $144 million or $0.88 per share in the year-ago period. On average, 25 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.90 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Quarterly revenues declined to $761 million from $769 million last year, while 23 analysts expected revenues of $778.65 million.

Looking ahead, for full year 2015, the group expects GAAP earnings to be in the range of $1.91 to $2.11 per share and adjusted earnings per share in the range of $2.50 - $2.70. The company expects revenue to be flat to down 2 percent and to grow 3 to 5 percent on a constant currency basis. Analysts estimate earnings per share of $2.98 per share, on revenues of $2.83 billion.
