Universal Forest Products Reports 21% Rise In Q3 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Universal Forest Products (UFPI) reported earnings for its third quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $33.69 million, or $1.64 per share. This was higher than $27.82 million, or $1.36 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.62 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 27.7% to $1.06 billion. This was up from $0.83 billion last year.
