UQM Technologies Appoints Jon Lutz Vice President of Technology and Promotes Ronald Burton to Senior Vice President of Operations

UQM TECHNOLOGIES, INC. (AMEX: UQM), a developer of alternative energy technologies, announced today that it has appointed Jon Lutz to the newly created position of Vice President of Technology with responsibility for the company’s engineering and research and development activities. The Company also promoted Ronald Burton to the position of Senior Vice President of Operations. Mr. Lutz will continue to report to Mr. Burton. Mr. Lutz began his career with the Company in 1993 and has served in a variety of increasingly responsible positions, most recently as Director of Engineering. Mr. Lutz holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master's of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado. Mr. Burton joined the Company in 2004 as Vice President of Operations after serving as an executive for over fifteen years in the motor industry.
