US Airways Nov. Traffic, Load Factor Down - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - US Airways Group, Inc.'s (LCC) November 2013 consolidated traffic was down by 0.8% year-over-year, with a capacity increase of 5.3%.

During the month, consolidated revenue passenger miles dropped 0.8% to 5.02 billion, from 5.06 billion last November. On the other hand, capacity in November rose 5.3% to 6.29 billion available seat miles, from 5.97 billion available seat miles in the prior year. The company said its November consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile or PRASM decreased nearly 4% versus last year.

On a consolidated basis, load factor for the recent month was 79.8%, lower than 84.8% reported a year back.

In November, US Airways' preliminary on-time performance as reported to the U.S. Department of Transportation was 86.1 percent with a completion factor of 99.3 percent.
