US Airways' President Scott Kirby said, "Our August consolidated (mainline and Express) passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) increased approximately five percent versus the same period last year. As we wind down the busy summer travel period, I would like to thank our 32,000 team members for doing an outstanding job of taking care of our customers. Despite challenging weather conditions and high load factors, our team delivered phenomenal operating results throughout the summer and we look forward to continuing that trend into the fall."

For the month of August, US Airways' preliminary on-time performance as reported to the U.S. Department of Transportation was 81.1 percent with a record completion factor of 99.4 percent.

The following summarizes US Airways Group's traffic results for the month and year-to-date ended August 31, 2013 and 2012, consisting of mainline-operated flights as well as US Airways Express flights operated by wholly owned subsidiaries PSA Airlines and Piedmont Airlines.
