Veolia Signs 15-Year Contract Extension With Sydney Water Worth Over EUR 250 Mln
(RTTNews) - Veolia Environnement (VE) Wednesday said it has again been awarded the operations and maintenance of the Wyuna Water treatment plants in Woronora and Illawarra under a 15-year contract extension worth in excess of 250 million euros or more than A$400 million.
The company noted that Sydney Water Corp. renewed its trust in Veolia through a 15-year extension to its Operations & Maintenance contract for the water treatment plants of Wyuna Water, which is owned jointly by IFM Investors and Veolia.
The contract is for operations at plants located to the south of Sydney.
With a combined production capacity of 370 million liters of water a day, the two plants supply water of very high quality to more than 500,000 people in Sydney and the Illawarra region.
