VeriFone Systems, Inc Q4 Profit Rises 12%

(RTTNews) - VeriFone Systems, Inc (PAY) announced a profit for its fourth quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $56.2 million, or $0.49 per share. This was higher than $50.1 million, or $0.44 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.48 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 4.7% to $514 million. This was up from $491 million last year.
