Warren Buffett is not known for betting big on technology stocks, but one long-term favorite of his has been VeriSign (NASDAQ: VRSN). Buffett began accumulating shares of the company back in 2012, and it was one of the few stocks he was buying in the fourth quarter of last year.The company demonstrated why it's a Buffett favorite when it released its Q1 earnings report. Although the overall market has been under pressure, the stock is up more than 30% year to date.
