Walmart Shares Sink Despite Solid Sales Outlook. Should Investors Buy the Dip?
Despite strong revenue growth and raised guidance, shares of Walmart (NYSE: WMT) sank following the retailer's Q2 results, as the company's profits came in a bit light of expectations. While much of the talk was around tariffs, the real culprit for the earnings miss was an increase in the cost of workers' compensation claims, as the company self-insures.
