Waste Management Inc Q3 Earnings Climb 12%

(RTTNews) - Waste Management Inc (WM) released a profit for its third quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $374 million, or $0.84 per share. This was higher than $335 million, or $0.74 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.75 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 5.7% to $3.55 billion. This was up from $3.36 billion last year.
