Welltower Inc. Reveals 8% Increase In Q2 Profit

(RTTNews) - Welltower Inc. (HCN) reported earnings for its second quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $414.44 million, or $1.15 per share. This was up from $383.70 million, or $1.09 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.14 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 12.5% to $1.08 billion. This was up from $0.96 billion last year.
