WGU Appoints Alison Bell as New WGU Indiana Chancellor

INDIANAPOLIS, March 1, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Western Governors University (WGU) announced today that higher education veteran Alison Bell has been appointed WGU Indiana Chancellor. Bell brings more than 20 years of higher education leadership experience to the position, including four years of prior experience with WGU as general manager of WGU Indiana operations from 2010-2014. Bell succeeds Dr. Allison Barber, who served as Chancellor from the launch of WGU Indiana in 2010 until May of 2018, when she was named President of WGU Advancement.

Bell earned a B.A. in Psychology from Indiana University and a M.A. in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education from Ball State University. She most recently served as Director of Degree Completion at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
