Business Editors

Provide Advice and Resources During Complimentary Class from the
Principal Financial Group
An established women business owner has mastered her company's launch. Day-to-day prioritization - growing her client base, recruiting talent, and ramping up service all while staying ahead of competition - means an overwhelming "to do" list. It's time to end the procrastination and start to declutter in order to steer her company to success.
As a dedicated partner for women business owners, the Principal Financial Group(R) offers the Women in Business teleclass, "Five Ways to Prioritize and Organize Your Way to Success" on Tuesday, April 26, at noon Central Time. The complimentary class offers five tips on breaking free from the clutter and procrastination weighing down day-to-day productivity.
"We understand that business owners are pressed for time - that's what this class is all about. We have packaged expert learning into a convenient 45-minute complimentary class," says Michelle Swanda, corporate marketing manager of The Principal(R). "In the amount of time that it takes to eat lunch, women business owners can learn five new lessons on how to prioritize work and ultimately grow their business."
The April 26 teleclass is part of The Principal Women in Business Teleclass Series entitled, "It's Your Business: Managing Growth and Opportunity in 2005," which is designed exclusively for women business owners. The 2005 program offers 10 classes along three tracks. Track One, "Getting Ready, Set, Go!" offers marketing, organization and financing strategies. All classes take place on "Teleclass Tuesdays" and run through December at noon Central Time.
Meet the Speakers
Arlyn Gajilan, senior editor, Fortune Small Business, is a leading source of news and information for small businesses - a topic she has covered since 1999.
"As a senior editor of a leading small business magazine, each day is driven by tight deadlines. You learn fast how to prioritize your time," said Gajilan. "That was key during a recent trip to Baghdad where I had just seven days to produce an investigative story. To get it done, I had to work backwards from my goal, make a plan and execute effectively."
While at Fortune Small Business, Gajilan redesigned the "Part One" and "Off Hours" sections. Read Gajilan's articles at www.fsb.com.
Kerul Kassel, successful owner and founder of New Leaf Systems and a celebrated business couch by the International Coach Federation, arms time-crunched business owners with broader strategies and tactical time-management tools.
"I'll address how to move past the clutter of your day-to-day duties, identify when it is okay to say 'no' to new opportunities, and how to stay ahead of competition by working towards your ultimate business goals," said Kassel. "By managing your responsibilities, you increase the potential growth of your company."
Kassel's international coaching programs, which have been presented to corporate giants such as Sony and the Hilton Hotels include, "Power Decluttering For Busy People," "Anticrastinate Your Way To Success," and "Get Ahead Without a Headache."
