Bank of New York Mellon SA/NV (The) -- Moody's upgrades the deposit ratings of BNY Mellon's European bank subsidiaries
New York, September 10, 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service upgraded the long-term deposit ratings of The Bank of New York Mellon SA/NV and The Bank of New York Mellon (Lux.) S.A., to Aa1 from Aa2. However, the long-term deposit rating at The Bank of New York Mellon (Lux.) S.A.'s Italian branch was affirmed at Aa2 since that rating is capped by Moody's Aa2 local and foreign currency deposit ceiling for Italy. All short-term ratings at BNY Mellon's European subsidiaries were affirmed at Prime-1.
