NewHospitals (St. Helens & Knowsley) Finance -- Moody's upgrades NewHospitals (St. Helens and Knowsley) Finance's underlying rating to A3 from Baa1; stable outlook

London, 28 September 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service has today upgraded to A3 from Baa1 the underlying rating of the facilities issued by NewHospitals (St. Helens and Knowsley) Finance plc (the "Issuer"). The A2 rating on the facilities, based upon the unconditional and irrevocable guarantees of scheduled principal and interest by Assured Guaranty (Europe) Ltd. ("Assured", A2 stable), remains unchanged. These facilities are GBP171.5 million of index-linked guaranteed senior secured bonds due 2047, including GBP18.5 million of variation bonds (the "Bonds"), and GBP149.2 million index-linked guaranteed senior secured bank credit facility due 2038, provided by the European Investment Bank (the "EIB Loan").The outlook remains stable.
