BoJ's Kuroda: Japanese Economy Picking Up
(RTTNews) - Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda on Thursday reiterated that the economy is picking up and will return to a moderate recovery path going forward.
Speaking at a quarterly meeting of BOJ branch managers, he repeated the bank's view that consumer prices may gradually turn positive as the economy improves.
Kuroda said BoJ will continue its quantitative and qualitative monetary easing until the 2 percent inflation target is realized.
