Greece Industrial Turnover Declines Further In August
(RTTNews) - Greece's industrial turnover continued to decline at a faster pace in August, preliminary figures from the Hellenic Statistical Authority showed Tuesday.
The overall turnover index plunged 18.3 percent year-over-year in August, which was worse than the 15.4 percent decrease in July. In June, the rate of drop was 12.8 percent. It was the tenth successive monthly fall.
Domestic market turnover slumped 18.2 percent annually in August and foreign market sales tumbled by 18.5 percent.
Turnover in the manufacturing sector fell 18.7 percent in August and that for mining and quarrying went down by 3.0 percent.
