Indonesia Consumer Confidence Rises In December

(RTTNews) - Indonesian consumers expressed a slightly more positive attitude in December, survey data from the Bank Indonesia showed on Tuesday.

The consumer confidence index rose to 123.8 in December from 123.6 in the previous month. A reading above 100 indicates optimism among households.

The current economic condition index increased by 0.6 points to 113.6 in December. The latest improvement was primarily on the back of the purchase of durable goods index.

Data showed that the consumer expectation index also remained strong in December, despite falling to 133.9 from 134.2 in November.
