Italy Aug Construction Output Falls

(RTTNews) - Italy's construction output decreased in August after rising in the previous month, figures from the Statistical Office Istat showed Tuesday.

The seasonally adjusted index of production in construction dropped 0.3 percent monthly in August, reversing a 0.8 percent climb in July. In June, output had fallen 1.2 percent.

On an annual basis, construction output declined 4.6 percent in August after showing no variations in the preceding month.

During the first eight months of the year, total construction output fell 2.4 percent compared with the corresponding period last year.
