South Korea Export Prices Jump 3.2% On Month In January

(RTTNews) - Export prices in South Korea advanced 3.2 percent on month in January, the Bank of Korea said on Friday - after slipping 0.1 percent in December.

Individually, agricultural, forestry and marine export prices rose 0.4 percent on month and manufacturing products climbed 3.2 percent.

Import prices were up 2.2 percent on month after dropping 1.7 percent in December.

Individually, import prices for raw materials gained 3.5 percent on month, while intermediate goods were up 1.6 percent, capital goods rose 1.2 percent and consumer goods added 1.8 percent.

On a yearly basis, export prices jumped 3.7 percent after sinking 2.4 percent in the previous month. Import prices rose 0.2 percent after slumping 4.0 percent a month earlier.
