AEye Integrates Apollo Lidar Into NVIDIA's DRIVE AGX Platform, Stock Soars
(RTTNews) - AEye, Inc. (LIDR) announced that its main lidar product, called Apollo, has now been fully added to NVIDIA's (NVDA) DRIVE AGX platform, an important part of NVIDIA's self-driving vehicle system.
"We are thrilled to now be officially certified as a part of NVIDIA's DRIVE AGX platform, a strong validation of Apollo's best-in-class capabilities," AEye CEO Matt Fisch commented.
"Apollo's industry-leading 1-kilometer range and compact form factor make it a standout solution across every market we serve. Now that Apollo is a part of the NVIDIA DRIVE ecosystem, we have a powerful channel to scale commercially across the automotive industry."
This move gives AEye direct access to many leading carmakers around the world who are working with NVIDIA to bring self-driving and advanced driver assistance features to their vehicles. It's a big step toward putting AEye's technology into millions of cars in the future.
AEye's lidar is controlled by software, which means it can be improved or updated without needing new hardware. This fits well with the trend of building smarter, more connected cars that can keep getting better over time.
"I expect to provide more details on our earnings call scheduled for July 31. Moreover, in the coming days, we plan to share more about our newest offering, OPTIS - a complete physical AI solution designed to address the future of smart transportation, safety, and security beyond automotive," Fisch stated.
Currently, LIDR is soaring 159.50 percent, to $2.97 on the Nasdaq.
