Apple Inc. Bottom Line Declines 27% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Apple Inc. (AAPL) revealed earnings for third quarter that decreased from last year.

The company said its earnings totaled $7.80 billion, or $1.42 per share. This was lower than $10.68 billion, or $1.85 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.38 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 14.6% to $42.36 billion. This was down from $49.61 billion last year.
