Back At It Again: Pizza Hut® Returns For Third Season As Official Pizza Sponsor Of ESPN College GameDay
PLANO, Texas, Aug. 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- What do you get when you mix one part rabid college football fan with two parts free pizza and a new loyalty program from Pizza Hut?
The recipe for a great way to celebrate the return of ESPN College GameDay built by the Home Depot.
Pizza Hut, the Official Pizza Sponsor of ESPN College GameDay and College Football, will kick off the college football season by offering a chance to snag free pizza for a year, every week, for members of Hut Rewards, the pizza company's new pizza loyalty program.
Starting Saturday, Sept. 2, Hut Rewards members tuning-in to ESPN College GameDay each week will get their shot at winning a year's supply of Pizza Hut pizza, simply by signing up at GameDay.PizzaHut.com. Current and new Hut Rewards members are eligible to win each week.
"College Football fans demonstrate the ultimate loyalty each week while cheering on their favorite teams. That's why we are so excited about getting them signed up for Hut Rewards, which we believe is the best loyalty program in the pizza category," said Zipporah Allen, Vice President of Marketing, Pizza Hut, U.S. "Not only will fans have a chance to quickly earn free pizza by being rewarded points for every dollar spent online, but the opportunity to win free pizza for a year adds to the fun and entertainment of GameDay each week."
Quarterbacking the promotion for Pizza Hut will be Maria Taylor, the newest addition to the award-winning College GameDay crew. Taylor will appear in advertising, as well as regular segments to tout the weekly prize. One winner will be selected each week. In addition, Taylor will help Pizza Hut select and name the College GameDay "Sign of the Week," yet again tapping into one of the most anticipated elements of the GameDay experience.
"I know from experience how much better it is to watch football with a slice of pizza in one hand," said Taylor. "I'm proud to partner with Pizza Hut and encourage college football fans to 'sign up' for Hut Rewards to start earning points toward free pizza!"
Introduced nationwide earlier this month, Hut Rewards is the only national pizza loyalty program that rewards customers unlimited points for every dollar spent on great-tasting food online. The points-based program rewards two points for every one dollar spent online on food, which can be applied toward a Medium ANY™ Pizza (any recipe, any toppings) for 200 points; or a Large ANY™ Pizza (any recipe, any toppings) for 250 points. Now through Oct. 1, Pizza Hut is offering double points on all Pizza Hut food purchased online.
Hut Rewards is open to US residents age 13+. For details on how to create your own Hut Rewards profile, and to learn more about the promotion, visit GameDay.PizzaHut.com and follow Pizza Hut on Facebook and YouTube.
