Before the Call Introduces BTC for AppExchange at Dreamforce '05
Before the Call and salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM), the global leaderin on-demand customer relationship management (CRM), today announcedthe availability of Before the Call for AppExchange. Built onsalesforce.com's Appforce on-demand platform, BTC for Appforce iscurrently available, and will be generally available for AppExchangeat the same time as the Salesforce Winter '06 release. The applicationprovides external market information to a sales representative so thatthey can more quickly and efficiently qualify a lead, saving time inthe sales process. Before the Call for AppExchange is one of the 70launch applications that are available through AppExchange,salesforce.com's new on-demand application sharing service.
With AppExchange, salesforce.com customers now have access to newapplications that bring the benefits of salesforce.com to their entirebusiness, letting them manage and share all of their companyinformation on-demand. Using AppExchange, companies can easily add newapps to their existing Salesforce deployments, extending their successand making the full power and creativity of the salesforce.comcustomer and partner community available with just a click.
Before the Call for AppExchange was announced today in SanFrancisco at Dreamforce '05, salesforce.com's third annual user anddeveloper conference.
"Before the Call will dramatically reduce the amount of time andmoney we spend researching sales leads," said Greg Lochtefeld,director of corporate sales at Interwoven. "In just a few minutes theproduct is able to qualify and rank a list of leads that if donemanually would take an entire day."

Before the Call combs the best-known market intelligence sourcesto provide detailed information about each sales lead, rankedaccording to the criteria that the customer chooses, for example,industry, company size or location. It then arms the sales team withthe most appropriate internal collateral for each sales call, such asrelevant case studies, product brochures, technical whitepapers, etc.The product retains all the information in a sales "portfolio" that isassociated with the lead record in Salesforce and can be easily sharedwith peers and partners.
The introductory price for Before the Call for AppExchange is $50per user per month. In addition to a direct sales team, Before theCall has created a sales group that is dedicated to educatingsalesforce.com customers on how Before the Call for AppExchange canmeet their unique needs.
