Blackrock Inc. Profit Advances 13% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Blackrock Inc. (BLK) announced earnings for its third quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $969 million, or $5.92 per share. This was up from $854 million, or $5.14 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $5.56 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 13.7% to $3.23 billion. This was up from $2.84 billion last year.
