Costco Wholesale June Comps. Up - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Membership warehouses operator Costco Wholesale Corp. (COST) reported a six percent improvement in June 2013 comparable sales, with monthly net sales rising eight percent to $9.92 billion, from the prior year's $9.16 billion.

For the five-week period, changes in gasoline prices had a slightly positive impact, whilst foreign exchange rates had an adverse impact on comparable sales. These impacts were immaterial for the 44-week period. Excluding these effects, 5-week comparable sales went up by 6% for the total company.

For the forty-four weeks, the firm clocked net sales of $87.05 billion, an increase of eight percent from $80.46 billion, last year.
