Freshpet Q4 Profit Improves, Yet Shares Slip In Pre-market

(RTTNews) - Freshpet, Inc. (FRPT) Thursday announced an increase in fourth-quarter earnings compared to the prior year, on 22 percent increase in net sales.

Currently, shares are at $125, down 4.27 percent.

Quarterly earnings were $18.12 million, while it was up $15.29 million a year ago. On a per share basis, earnings were $0.36, up from $0.31 in the prior year.

On average, analysts are looking for earnings of $0.69 per share. Analysts estimates usually exclude special items.

Net sales for the fourth quarter increased to $262.71 million from $215.42 million a year ago. Analysts were looking for revenue of $263.97 million.

Looking ahead to the full year 2025, the company expects net sales in the range of $1.18 - $1.21 billion, an increase of 21% to 24% from 2024. Adjusted EBITDA is expected to be at least $210 million.

For full year 2027, the Company now confirmed guidance net sales guidance of $1.8 billion.

Adjusted EBITDA margin is projected to be 22 percent, compared to 18 percent previously.
