GameStop Corp. Q3 Profit Retreats 11%

(RTTNews) - GameStop Corp. (GME) released earnings for third quarter that dropped compared to the same period last year.

The company said its earnings came in at $57.0 million, or $0.54 per share. This was lower than $64.3 million, or $0.57 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.59 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 3.3% to $2.02 billion. This was down from $2.09 billion last year.
