"In his new role, Craig will build on Humana Cares’ successful programs and outstanding track record as we work to serve more Humana members with chronic conditions,” said Humana Health and Well-Being Services Segment President Bruce Perkins, in announcing Drablos’ appointment. Humana Cares currently serves more than 200,000 Humana members across the country.

Drablos, who was based in Tampa in his prior role heading Humana’s Employer Group operations in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Tennessee and Alabama, will report to Perkins in his new Humana Cares leadership position in St. Petersburg. Drablos’ appointment was effective June 1.

Since joining Humana in 1989, Drablos has held a variety of leadership roles within the company. In addition to heading Humana’s Southeast commercial operations, Drablos also oversaw Humana’s Medicare and commercial health plans in Nevada, Kentucky and West Florida.

In his new position, Drablos will lead a fast-growing national division for Humana. Humana Cares opened its doors in February 2009 at its national care center in St. Petersburg with about 200 employees. Today, Humana Cares, with teams of nurses, community health educators and social workers, provides personalized, integrated care management services telephonically in all 50 states and on the ground in 32 states, and employs more than 1,300 associates.

Drablos succeeds Jean Bisio as Humana Cares president. Bisio recently left the company after four years as President of Humana Cares.

Drablos received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and a master’s in business administration from the University of Minnesota. A resident of Tampa, Drablos is an active member of the board of directors for the Florida Health Maintenance Organization Consumer Assistance Plan. He is also a graduate of the Leadership Florida Executive Program.

Humana is one of Florida’s leading health care companies with more than 400,000 Medicare members in the state; more than 200,000 employer-group health plan members in Florida; and is one of the state’s largest health care employers with more than 5,000 associates statewide.
