Independent Petroleum Association of America Hosts Largest Oil and Gas Investment Symposium

WASHINGTON, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) announces the upcoming annual Oil & Gas Investment Symposium (OGIS), April 23 - 25, 2007, at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers in New York City. With 100 presenting companies, attendees will have the opportunity to interact with domestic oil and natural gas executives, Wall Street analysts, money managers and capital providers from around the globe.

"OGIS is the largest investment conference for the oil and gas industry," said Bill Moyer, IPAA's vice president of capital markets. "It brings together oil and natural gas producers, industry service companies and top executives and financial analysts nationwide to network and discuss the key issues that affect the industry, as well as learn about the latest industry trends."

The IPAA Oil & Gas Investment Symposium New York (OGIS-NY) has become the premier outlet for publicly traded independent exploration and production and service and supply companies to present their company profiles to the investment community. Last year's symposium attracted over 1,600 attendees, including more than 700 buy-/sell-side analysts and portfolio managers and 100 presenting companies.

Analysts and investors will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with presenting company executives during breakfasts, breakout sessions, receptions and corporate hosted dinners.

Luncheon guest speakers will include Thomas A. Petrie, vice chairman of Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. (April 23) and LTG (Ret.) Daniel W. Christman, U.S. Chamber of Commerce (April 24).

OGIS is part of IPAA's Oil and Gas Investment Symposia that includes similar programs annually in London (July 11) and San Francisco (October 1-3).
