JD.com Q1 Loss Narrows - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - JD.com (JD) reported that its first-quarter loss To holders of of permanent equity securities narrowed to RMB 710.21 million from RMB 5.3 billion, previous year. Loss per ADS was RMB 0.52 compared to a loss of RMB 5.80. Non-GAAP net loss was RMB 205.63 million, and non GAAP per ADS was RMB 0.15, for the quarter.

Revenue increased 62% year-over-year to RMB 36.64 billion from RMB 22.66 billion. GMV was RMB 87.8 billion, an increase of 99% from previous year. company said the increases in GMV and net revenues were primarily due to the growth in quarterly active customer accounts and the growth in the number of fulfilled orders in the first quarter of 2015.

Net revenues from online direct sales increased by 59%, while net revenues from services and others increased by 139%.

The company expects net revenues for the second quarter of 2015 to be between RMB 43.5 billion and RMB 44.5 billion, representing a growth rate between 52% and 56% compared with the second quarter of 2014.
