P&G Urges Shareholders Vote BLUE ProxyCard;says Nelson Peltz Not Right For Board

(RTTNews) - Procter & Gamble Co. (PG) Monday said it strongly recommends that shareholders vote the BLUE Proxy Card in support of all of P&G's highly qualified Director nominees to prevent anything from derailing the work that is delivering for all P&G shareholders.

In a letter to shareholders ahead of the upcoming 2017 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, the company outlined the reasons.

The letter outlined P&G's significant value creation progress as well as why P&G believes Nelson Peltz of Trian is not right for the Board. The company noted that despite what Peltz seems to believe, a Board seat is not an entitlement.

The company noted that under the leadership of this Board and management team, it has undertaken the most significant transformation in its history and is executing a winning strategy that is working.
