Paychex and CPA2Biz Extend AICPA Partner Program for Additional Five Years
The success of the Paychex Partner Program from AICPA BusinessSolutions has resulted in the extension of the relationship for fiveadditional years. The contract will now run through September 2011.The value-add program for CPAs was initially launched in late 2003when Paychex was named the preferred provider of payroll services forCPAs' clients by CPA2Biz, the marketing and technology subsidiary ofthe American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
With the extension of the partnership, the program will beexpanded to also designate Paychex, a leading provider of payroll andhuman resource services, as the preferred provider of retirement planservices for CPAs' clients. Paychex 401(k) Recordkeeping services wereadded to the program offerings in May 2005; the preferred providerdesignation affirms for CPAs the confidence CPA2Biz has in Paychex'scommitment to serving the accounting profession in the area ofretirement plan services.
"The great success of the program is a testament to the dedicationof both organizations to providing CPAs with the best tools to buildtheir practices and serve their clients," said Walter Turek, seniorvice president of sales and marketing for Paychex. Beyond advising clients on payroll-related services, CPAs havelong been known for the critical guidance they provide clients at eachstage of the financial lifecycle, i.e. home ownership, collegesavings, estate planning, etc. However, as today it is widely held theaverage person is living longer and saving less, Erik Asgeirsson,president and chief executive officer, CPA2Biz, notes, "there's now acall to action for CPAs to play an even more active role."
