Philip Braverman Joins Moody's Corporation as Vice President - Global Tax
Moody's Corporation (NYSE: MCO) announced that Philip Braverman has joined the corporation as Vice President - Global Tax. Mr. Braverman will have overall responsibility for leading the global tax department, providing strategic guidance on tax implications of ongoing and future business activities as well as day-to-day planning and tax compliance matters. Mr. Braverman has over 22 years of domestic and international experience in a variety of tax roles. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Senior Tax Counsel at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, where he was the chief tax lawyer for the company responsible for worldwide tax planning and tax legal activities. Prior to joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, he held a number of tax positions at CPC International Inc. /Bestfoods and worked at the law firms of Proskauer Rose Goetz & Mendelsohn and Hughes Hubbard & Reed. "Philip brings a wealth of experience and expertise in global tax issues that will be a significant asset as Moody’s continues to grow both domestically and internationally,” said Jay McCabe, Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller, Moody’s Corporation. Mr. Braverman received his BA degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his JD degree from Fordham University School of Law.
