ProAssurance Corp. Announces 15% Decline In Q3 Profit

(RTTNews) - ProAssurance Corp. (PRA) revealed a profit for third quarter that dropped from last year.

The company said its earnings came in at $34.15 million, or $0.63 per share. This was lower than $40.13 million, or $0.68 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.64 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 14.2% to $174.93 million. This was down from $203.83 million last year.
