Procter & Gamble Co. Q3 Earnings Rise 6%

(RTTNews) - Procter & Gamble Co. (PG) announced a profit for its third quarter that rose compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $2.59 billion, or $0.99 per share. This was up from $2.44 billion, or $0.86 per share, in last year's third quarter.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 1.0% to $15.61 billion. This was down from $15.76 billion last year.
