Procter & Gamble Responds To White Paper From Trian Fund Management

(RTTNews) - Procter & Gamble (PG) stated that the recently released white paper from Trian Fund Management, L.P. confirmed that Nelson Peltz has a very outdated and misinformed view of P&G. The company said, contrary to Peltz's claims, the full Board carefully considered and discussed his request to be added to the Board. The Board evaluated Peltz against its previously identified list of desired skills and experiences and concluded that he did not fill a current need.

The P&G Board believes it has the right skills and experience to continue successfully overseeing the execution of the plan in place. The P&G Board strongly recommended that shareholders vote the BLUE Proxy Card to maintain the company's momentum and continue advancing its plan.
