Progressive Corp. July Net Profit Down 12%

(RTTNews) - Insurer Progressive Corp. (PGR) reported Wednesday that July 2026 net income was $961 million or $1.65 per share, down from $1.09 billion or $1.85 per share in July 2025.

Net premiums written for the month improved 5 percent to $7.44 billion and net premiums earned also grew 5 percent to $7.36 billion from last July.

Companywide total policies in force as of July 31, 2026 grew 7 percent to 40.30 million from 37.63 million in July 31, 2025.

In Wednesday's pre-market trading, PGR is trading on the NYSE at $209.80, up $2.64 or 1.27 percent.
