Pulte Homes Ranks Among Top 100 on InformationWeek 500

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif., Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pulte Homes, Inc. , one of the nation's largest homebuilders, today announced that it ranked No. 85 on the 2006 InformationWeek 500 revealed last night at a gala awards ceremony, part of the exclusive InformationWeek 500 conference in Rancho Mirage, California.

Pulte Homes was recognized for its innovative, web-based Pulte Home Builder Suite application, which has created a centralized tool for managing all steps of the homebuilding and customer relations process. This marks Pulte Homes' first foray into the top 100 on the InformationWeek 500 list.

"In an industry not known for cutting-edge IS solutions, Pulte Homes is revolutionizing our business and the homebuilding process through Pulte Home Builder Suite," said Jerry Batt, Chief Information Officer for Pulte Homes. "This tool has enabled us to decrease duplicate data entry, reduce error, improve business processes, increase visibility into operations and increase workforce productivity."

Pulte Home Builder Suite is a blend of configured vendor software and internally built applications that mechanizes every business function in the homebuilding lifecycle, including market planning, sales force automation, e- commerce, financial planning, purchasing, construction and warranty service. Many functions, such as the "eService" warranty tracking system, are accessible through tablet PCs and handheld devices for easy use by Pulte's field personnel throughout 53 U.S. markets.

"We'd like to extend our sincere congratulations to all InformationWeek 500 honorees. These companies represent today's leading technology innovators, many of whom have joined us this week," said InformationWeek publishing director, Fritz Nelson. "This group has prompted fascinating discussion on some of the most forward-looking business technology initiatives to date."

For the past 18 years, InformationWeek has identified and honored the nation's most innovative users of information technology with its annual listing. The list is unique among corporate rankings because it spotlights the power of innovation in information technology, rather than simply identifying the biggest IT spenders.
