Raytheon's AN/TPN-19 and Raytheon's AN/GPN-22 radar, deployed more than 20 years ago, provide air traffic control personnel accurate navigational information to guide aircraft on approach to a safe landing, during both clear and instrument flight rule weather conditions. The radar set is composed of the radar and associated communications and electronics equipment and external antenna system. The systems detect and track aircraft approaching a runway for landing. The AN/TPN-19 was deployed as a mobile radar system for operations in Iraq. The AN/GPN-22 has been in service beyond its originally planned life cycle and continues to perform the required mission.
