Raytheon to Highlight Diverse Technologies, Programs and Products at the Paris Air Show
WALTHAM, Mass., June 13, 2007 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company will offer news media representatives attending the 2007 Paris International Air Show June 18-24 several opportunities to learn the latest about various company technologies, programs and products.
Raytheon has scheduled the following press activities during the show: Date Time Topic June 19 9 a.m. SL-AMRAAM June 19 10:15 a.m. Directed Energy June 19 Noon Mission Support Media Luncheon Additional Details -- Skip Garrett, vice president for International Operations for Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems, will announce an increased capability for the International SL-AMRAAM program. The increased capability will provide even greater flexibility for the warfighter. The SL-AMRAAM is a state-of-the-art air defense system that can defeat current and emerging cruise missiles and a wide range of air breathing threats. SL-AMRAAM provides cutting edge capability to protect critical assets in maneuver warfare or homeland defense missions. Briefing is June 19, 9 a.m., at the Raytheon chalet. -- Mike Booen, vice president of Directed Energy for Raytheon Missile Systems, will cover company efforts in this fast moving technology, including an update on a Raytheon system to protect airports and aircraft from the threat of shoulder-fired missiles. Briefing is June 19, 10:15 a.m., at the Raytheon chalet dining room. -- Following the announcement of Raytheon winning the $11.2 billion, 10-year Warfighter FOCUS contract to consolidate U.S. Army training support services worldwide, Richard (Rick) R. Yuse will meet face-to- face with the press for the first time as president of Raytheon Technical Services Company (RTSC) LLC. Additionally, Vice President David J. Dacquino of RTSC will discuss how high-value Mission Support services, solutions and training increase warfighter readiness worldwide. This media luncheon will take place at 12:00 noon, June 19, at the Raytheon chalet.
The Raytheon Chalet (A395) and Exhibit Pavilion will contain displays, exhibits and demonstrations highlighting the company's core defense markets of Sensing, C3I (Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence), Effects and Mission Support. Included will be demonstrations of Directed Energy and the AESA radar, as well as advanced weapons, and the SL-AMRAAM.
