Rockwell Automation Statement on Indemnification for Rocky Flats Jury Award
A federal jury in Denver yesterday awarded damages toColorado property owners. Rockwell International (a predecessor toRockwell Automation (NYSE:ROK)), was one of the defendants in thecase. This dispute dates back to the 1980's and Rockwell Automation,Inc. is no longer involved in defense-related businesses. The companystated that under Rockwell International's contract with theDepartment of Energy, it will be indemnified by the United Statesgovernment for the verdict and other costs associated with the case.
